Cookie policy

This document contains information about the technologies that allow this Application to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies allow the Data Controller to collect and store information (for example through the use of Cookies) or to use resources (for example by running a script) on the User’s device when the latter interacts with this Application.

For simplicity, in this document these technologies are collectively referred to as “Tracking Tools”, unless there is reason to differentiate them.
For example, although Cookies may be used in both web and mobile browsers, it would be inappropriate to refer to Cookies in the context of mobile device applications, since these are Tracking Tools that require the presence of a browser. For this reason, within this document the term Cookie is used only to specifically indicate that particular type of Tracking Tool.

Some of the purposes for which Tracking Tools are used may also require the User’s consent. If consent is given, it may be freely withdrawn at any time by following the instructions contained in this document.

This Application uses Tracking Tools managed directly by the Data Controller (commonly referred to as “first-party” Tracking Tools) and Tracking Tools that enable services provided by third parties (commonly referred to as “third-party” Tracking Tools). Unless otherwise specified in this document, such third parties have access to their respective Tracking Tools.
The duration and expiry of Cookies and other similar Tracking Tools may vary depending on what is set by the Data Controller or by each third-party provider. Some of them expire at the end of the User’s browsing session.
In addition to what is specified in the description of each of the categories listed below, Users may obtain more detailed and up-to-date information on duration, as well as any other relevant information – such as the presence of other Tracking Tools – in the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers (through the links made available) or by contacting the Data Controller.

How this Application uses Tracking Tools

How to manage preferences and give or withdraw consent on this Application

If the use of Trackers is based on consent, the User may provide or withdraw such consent by setting or updating their preferences through the relevant privacy choices panel available on this Application.

As regards third-party Tracking Tools, Users may manage their preferences by visiting the relevant opt-out link (where available), using the tools described in the third party’s privacy policy or contacting the third party directly.

How to control or delete Cookies and similar technologies through your device settings

Users may use their browser settings to:

  • See which Cookies or other similar technologies have been set on the device;
  • Block Cookies or similar technologies;
  • Delete Cookies or similar technologies from the browser.

Browser settings, however, do not allow granular control of consent by category.

Users may, for example, find information on how to manage Cookies in some of the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses:

Users may also manage certain Tracking Tools for mobile applications by disabling them through the appropriate device settings, such as mobile advertising settings or tracking settings in general (Users may consult the device settings to identify the relevant one).

How to opt out of interest-based advertising

Without prejudice to the foregoing, Users are informed that they may use the information available on YourOnlineChoices (EU and United Kingdom), Network Advertising Initiative (USA) and Digital Advertising Alliance (USA), DAAC (Canada), DDAI (Japan) or other similar services. Through these services it is possible to manage tracking preferences for most advertising tools. The Data Controller therefore recommends that Users use these resources in addition to the information provided in this document.

The Digital Advertising Alliance also provides an application called AppChoices which helps Users control behavioral advertising on mobile applications.

Consequences of refusing the use of Tracking Tools

Users are free to decide whether or not to allow the use of Tracking Tools. However, please note that Tracking Tools allow this Application to provide Users with a better experience and advanced features (in line with the purposes outlined in this document). Therefore, if the User decides to block the use of Tracking Tools, the Data Controller may not be able to provide the related features.

Since the use of third-party Tracking Tools on this Application cannot be fully controlled by the Data Controller, any specific reference to third-party Tracking Tools is to be considered indicative. To obtain complete information, Users are kindly invited to consult the privacy policy of the respective third-party services listed in this document.

Given the objective complexity of identifying tracking technologies, Users are invited to contact the Data Controller should they wish to receive further information regarding the use of such technologies on this Application.
